    OUR PROUD HERITAGE

In the late 1930s, George Walls opened a retail-clothing store for men in Dallas, Texas. Soon after World War II, George began manufacturing his trademark one-piece coverall that became a staple in United States workwear apparel.

In 1982, Walls recognized the cross-over potential between workwear and hunting/outdoor apparel and the growth opportunity associated with Americas increasing desire for outdoor leisure activities. As a result, the company entered the hunting/outdoor apparel market with its acquisition of 10X, the premier sporting goods brand.

Today, Walls is a market-leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of branded workwear, hunting and outdoor apparel. Walls products are sold under a number of highly recognized brand names including Walls™, Liberty™, Big Smith™, 10X™, Duxbak™, Zero Zone™, and Commander™; collectively serving a full range of price points. These trade names have developed significant brand equity through heritages dating back to the early 1900s. The Companys product line includes a full range of insulated and non-insulated utility apparel for use in the workplace and recreational activities, including coveralls, bib overalls, jackets, pants, shirts and vests. Traditional consumers include farmers, ranchers, hunters, mechanics, construction workers, oil field workers, as well as individuals who just like to wear a good looking garment to keep warm and dry.

    VALUED PARTNERS

Over the last 60 years, Walls has successfully partnered with a diverse group of retail customers. Even as the retail landscape has changed, the strong demand for Walls products continues in nearly all distribution channels. The company prides itself on understanding the unique needs of each customer, and co-develops apparel programs that address the needs of each market segment.

    FACTS & FIGURES

Since 1990, the Walls family of brands have generated over $2.5 billion of retail sales through leading global, national and regional retailers. In that same time period, the company has sold over 25 million coveralls and bibs throughout the world.

  • Dickies

Through its dedication to innovation and continual customer contact, Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. has transformed itself from a small bib overall company to the largest workwear manufacturer in the world. Sold in every state in the U.S., Dickies now offers a broad spectrum of work garments ranging from work pants and work shirts to denim jeans and women's workwear. Since its beginnings in 1922, every piece of Dickies workwear has stood for the quality, toughness, and pride that embodies the spirit of the American worker.

C.N. Williamson and E.E. "Colonel" Dickie began their business careers in the "vehicle and harness" business in Bryan, Texas. In 1918, they made what turned out to be a momentous decision when they and a few friends established the U.S. Overall Company. Then, in 1922, C. Don Williamson joined with his father and cousin to buy 100% of the overall company on a one-third-each basis and renamed it Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company.

From its early years, Williamson-Dickie enjoyed steady growth, slowed only by the Great Depression, and during World War II, the company was sequestered to produce millions of uniforms for the nation's armed forces. In converting to civilian production after the war, C. Don Williamson began a strategy of geographical expansion and established new production facilities, warehouses, and sales territories throughout the United States. In the late 1950's, Williamson-Dickie became an international company by expanding into the European market and the Middle Eastern market - where Texas oilmen introduced the Dickies brand to Middle Eastern oil fields.

While Williamson-Dickie began as a bib overall company, today it has grown to be the number one manufacturer of work apparel worldwide. By continually expanding and updating its selection, Williamson-Dickie now offers garments ranging from its staple work pants and work shirts to items such as women's workwear, chore coats, and denim jeans. Dickies® workwear is currently sold in all 50 states and throughout the world in countries such as South Africa, Australia, Russia, Chile, Japan, Iceland, Canada, Europe and Mexico.

  • Woolrich

Woolrich has been synonymous with quality outdoor clothing for over 178 years. The company got its start in 1830 when John Rich, an immigrant from England, built his first woolen mill in Plum Run, Pennsylvania. Rich would visit the lumber camps that dotted the area and sell his woolen fabric, socks, coverlets, and yarn from a mule cart.

By 1845, he built a new mill a couple of miles up the road next to Chatham Run, which provided a steadier source of water. That building exists today as part of the group of buildings, homes, and community establishments that have become Woolrich, Pennsylvania.

Rich could certainly not have imagined that his little woolen mill (created not long after the Revolutionary War) would go on to experience the Civil War, the Great Depression, two world wars, and the end of the Cold War. It would witness the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in America, the amazing growth of American cities, and the telecommunications revolution.

Legend has it that Woolrich was the first company to use a zipper in men's trousers. The timeless Railroad Vest, introduced when the railroad was being built through Pennsylvania, is still a popular item. Another garment with roots back to the mid-1800's is the Buffalo Check Shirt that has kept many generations of outdoorsmen warm.

Technological developments, new production methods, and changing American lifestyles led to new products for all types of outdoor activities--all-wool bathing suits and wool golf knickers joined rugged coats for hunters and trappers. As America took to the roads in the early 1930's, Woolrich added automobile robes and steamer rugs for the more mobile society. Woolrich was contracted by the government to outfit Admiral Byrd's expedition to Antarctica in 1939, 1940, and 1941.

Eventually, the introduction of new high-tech materials allowed Woolrich to enhance the performance of its outdoor wear, meeting the needs of a new generation of enthusiasts. Traditional fabrics like wool and cotton teamed up with manmade fibers to create clothing that our customers could rely on for everything from a backpacking trip to a leisurely stroll.

Today the little village of Woolrich is still headquarters for the company, but the business has grown to a worldwide lifestyle company with a full range of outdoor-inspired products, from jackets and shirts to furniture and tableware. The company that provided blankets to the Union soldiers in the Civil War today keeps folks warm under its wonderful throws as they cuddle up by the fireplace. You can buy a wool jacket your great-great grandfather may have worn in the woods or a parka that's all about the latest in advanced technology.

What has not changed in all those years is Woolrich's commitment to quality, value, and products that fit the outdoor lifestyle. And most of all, our commitment to you, our customers. .
